Northwind readings are free, though donations are gladly accepted to support Northwind Arts Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting the arts to our community. The readings are held at Northwind Arts Center unless otherwise stated. For more information contact Bill Mawhinney 360-437-9081.

The Northwind Reading Series features the poetry and prose of writers and poets of Western Washington. Bill Mawhinney curates and hosts the readings, and now he and Carl Youngmann record the readings for radio! Radio programs are archived here for your listening pleasure.

KPTZ is currently airs Readings at Northwind at noon midweek with a repeat airing at 6:00 pm at the end of the week. We will announce the regular time slot as the KPTZ schedule evolves.

Northwind Readings are presented live at 7 pm the second Thursday each month at the Northwind Arts Center.

Readings Anthology

NORTHWIND 2010, an anthology of work read during the 2010 Northwind Reading Series is now available for purchase for $6.00 at the Northwind Arts Center. The anthology is not the complete works read aloud during the Thursday evenings of 2010, but contains choice representative selections from as many writers as possible.
