DECEMBER 2008 CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Friday, December 5 at 12 PM – Small Expressions VII show opens at the Northwind Arts Center and runs through December 29. To see more information and images of works in the show, click below:
Saturday, December 6 from 5:30 to 8 PM – Reception for the Artists at the Northwind Arts Center during Art Walk.
Sunday, December 7 at 2 PM – Coffee Talk with Pat Austin, juror of Small Expressions VII at the Northwind Arts Center.
Thursday, December 11 at 7 PM – Northwind Poetry Reading Series Annual Readers Party at the Northwind Arts Center. Admission is free and donations are appreciated. Read about the authors and more at:
Friday, December 12 at 6:30 PM – Theatre Party at the Port Townsend Yacht Club. The play is “A Picasso” and luscious desserts will be auctioned. Seating is limited so make your reservation now at (360) 379-6833.

Saturday and Sunday, December 13 and 14, from 10 AM to 6 PM – Art Expo at Fort Warden. Mark your calendars and plan to join the Friends of Fort Worden as they present the fourth annual Fort Worden Wildlife and Nature Art Exposition at the Commons at Fort Worden State Park. Admission is $3 general and $5 per family. The Expo presents local and regional artists and their wildlife and nature artwork in various mediums including serigraphy, watercolor and acrylic painting, sculpture, woodcarving, and photography. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, 1-4 PM – BRING YOUR BONES DAY AT FORT WARDEN. Mark your calendars now for a free event for artists, naturalists, beachcombers and families at the Natural History Museum at Fort Worden State Park. See grey whale, seal, dolphin, bird and river otter skeletons plus an odd and interesting assortment of mystery bones. Lee Post, aka “Mr. Boneman”, a master marine mammal skeleton articulator from Alaska, and Dr. Tony, Chimacum veterinarian and wildlife specialist, will help you ID bones you bring and share stories about them. Drop in any time for informal looking, drawing, and asking questions.
